Principal
Anne Branigin Vandeveer
Anne is the President of ABV Retirement & Welfare Plan Advisors, Inc. She is an accomplished employee benefits consultant specializing in employee benefit plan compliance and related issues.
She founded the company over ten years ago following a decade of work with several national benefit consulting and accounting firms including Mercer, Coopers & Lybrand and BKD. She specializes in both welfare benefit plan Form 5500 compliance & defined contribution plan consulting. Anne has also provided extensive consulting on DOL & qualified plan audits, defined contribution recordkeeping platforms and general Form 5500 compliance.
She now serves many insurance brokerage firms across the country from the Midwest to the Pacific Northwest. Her firm has a longstanding partnership with the Indianapolis-based law firm, Krieg Devault, LLP, for the most technical issues and peer review related to governmental reporting, nondiscrimination testing and related compliance. As a matter of course, she often works closely with independent accounting firms for ERISA tax and financial issues.
Anne is a graduate of Purdue University, with a BS in Mathematics. She, her husband and their two children reside in Carmel Indiana, where she is very active in her children’s PTO and their academic and athletic activities.

Elizabeth ("Beth") Wissler
Beth is an accomplished employee benefits consultant specializing in plan administration related to the entire Form 5500 filing process.
She began her career on the carrier side, at Metropolitan and CNA and moved onto the consulting side, leading the marketing and proposal analysis group at Aon Consulting (formerly Alexander & Alexander). She has also raised 3 children, teaching at their private, Catholic high school for several years and also working in healthcare as an education developer.
Beth is a graduate of the College of St. Benedict in Minneapolis. She and her family reside in Indianapolis.

Fred ("Fritz") Hewelt, III, CEBS
Fritz is a senior advisor to ABV with over 30 years experience with a multitude of employee benefit consulting knowledge but who specializes in H&W plan nondiscrimination, namely Section 105(h) testing.
He began his career at Mercer in Chicago and after a move to Minneapolis with Towers Watson to lead their H&W Practice, he gained most of his compliance experience while serving as a leader at Aon Hewitt's National Tax & ERISA Practice and serving on their Benefits Standards & Compliance Committee. Fritz is a regular speaker at national seminars for professional organizations on the subject of H&W statutory compliance.
Fritz is a graduate of Elmhurst College and holds several professional designations including his CLU, FLMI and CEBS. In his free time, he enjoys time with his grown children and their children, winter sports, wine and driving his sports car.
